gupshup – a new people meetup at Lodhi Garden 💬🌿

gupshup is a simple idea: new people, honest conversations, silly laughs, small performances, and chai in the middle of a park. No stage, no pressure, no “networking” vibes – just humans meeting humans.

What’s going to happen?

11:00 – 11:20 am – Settling in & hellos.

People come in, find the spot, spread out mats/duppattas, say quick hi, get comfortable. Light icebreakers so it doesn’t feel awkward-awkward.

11:20 – 12:00 – Group activities & conversations

Fun, low-pressure activities to help you open up:

• simple prompts to talk to new people

• small group circles

• a mix of light, fun, and slightly deeper conversations (only if you’re comfortable)

12:00 – 12:45 – Performances, but super casual

This is not an open mic. There’s no formal stage, no “next performer please”. Just:

• 2–3 minutes for anyone who feels like sharing – a poem, a story, a song, a thought, even a funny incident.

• If you don’t want to perform, that’s totally okay. Just sit back, listen, and sip your chai.

  
  

12:45 – 1:25 – Free-flow gupshup & chai

By now, people usually forget they “came alone”. This is the free time:

• more conversations

• exchange Instas/numbers if you vibe

• walk around, sit in smaller groups, chill

1:25 – 1:30 – Closing & a quick group moment

A tiny wrap-up, maybe a quick gratitude round and a group photo for memories.

Things you should know 👇

• Come as you are – casual clothes, no need to “dress up”.

• Bring: a mat/dupatta/shawl to sit on, a bottle of water, and a light jacket in case it’s breezy.

• Chai will be there ☕ – because what is gupshup without chai.

• This is not a dating event. It’s a people-meetup. You might make friends, collaborators, or just have a good 2.5 hours and go home.

• Introverts are 100% welcome. You can participate at your own pace. No one will force you to speak or perform.

• Respect is non-negotiable.
